Mysuru: Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI) of the city will host the third edition of TechBharat 2022 between May 19 and 21. The theme of this event is transforming India’s Food Technology and Agronomic Landscape.
Laghu Udyog Bharati, Karnataka and IMS Foundation are jointly organising this event in association with CFTRI. The highlight of this event will be an expo of food and farming start-ups, companies, and achievers. Experts and industry stakeholders from across the country and several foreign nations including Israel are participating in this event.
Bhojaran CN, hon secretary, Laghu Udyog Bharati- Karnataka, Chayaa Nanjappa, founder & managing partner of Brand Nectar Fresh, and CFTRI director Sridevi Annapurna Singh have stated that the main objective of the event is to familiarise sustainable technologies in both agriculture and food sectors that are accessible to the stakeholders.
Chief minister Basavaraja Bommai will inaugurate the event on May 19. Union minister of food processing Pashupati Kumar Paras, Union minister of state for agriculture and farmer’s welfare Kailash Choudhary, Union minister of state for agriculture and farmers’ welfare Shobha Karandlaje and others will participate in the inaugural session.
Jitendra Singh, minister of state for the ministry of science and technology, and ministry of earth sciences, Union minister of state for electronics and information technology, skill development and entrepreneurship Rajeev Chandrashekar, NABARD chairman GR Chintala, M Angamuthu, chairman, Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), former CEO of Infosys Kris Gopalakrishnan, Vivek Agarwal, additional secretary, revenue, Sam Freeman, trade and investment commissioner in Bengaluru, Australian Trade and Investment Commission and other dignitaries will also participate in the event.
A special session on women entrepreneurs in AgriTech, FoodTech, and Food Pro-Tech will also be held.
Up to 100CXOs of AgriTech, and FoodTech industries are given an opportunity to meet, interact, exchange ideas, discuss business growth with elite counterparts, representatives from the Government and several Trade Commissioners in India from 4pm to 7pm on May 20.
Bhojaran CN said stakeholders from all related fields will participate in the event to ensure participants get solutions for their challenges.
