The National Dairy Development Board’s (NDDB) creation is rooted in the conviction that our nation’s socio-economic progress lies largely on the development of rural India.
The Dairy Board was created to promote, finance and support producer-owned and controlled organisations. NDDB’s programmes and activities seek to strengthen farmer owned institutions and support national policies that are favourable to the growth of such institutions. Fundamental to NDDB’s efforts are cooperative strategies and principles.
NDDB’s efforts transformed India’s rural economy by making dairying a viable and profitable economic activity for millions of milk producers while addressing the country’s need for self-sufficiency in milk production.

JOB DETAIL:

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY:
• Facilitate training programmes and conduct sessions independently for field professionals, P&I supervisors, milk testers and DCS Secretaries with emphasis on DCS Accounting system (cash book writing, ledger posting & preparation of account statement from trial balance to balance sheet and testing of milk by different methods)
• Conduct sessions for DCS Management Committee Members and other trainings for dairy farmers
• Support in training process of participating individuals
• Coordinating with Dairy Cooperatives / Producer Institutions / other agencies for upcoming training programmes
• Documentation of quarterly, half yearly and yearly training reports
• Documentation of Success Stories / Good Practices and preparing case studies to be used during training programmes
• Networking with internal / external stakeholders
• Support to Principal in purchase of teaching aids and other items required for training centre
• Support to Principal in administrative tasks
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Graduation in any discipline with relevant experience of minimum 10–12 years in dairy cooperatives, producer institutions etc.
• Working experience with producer owned organisations and milk procurement activities
• Knowledge of State Cooperative Act / Bye-laws of Milk Union & Dairy Cooperative Societies
• Practical knowledge of DCS Accounting system (vouching, cash book, ledger, trial balance, trading account, profit & loss account and balance sheet)
• Knowledge of Milk Testing by various methods, adulteration test, BMC & AMCU Operations and related software
