The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on August 03, 2022, issued an order regarding the requirement of health certificate along with the import of food consignment. The imported food consignments of food categories as specified in Food Product Standards and Food Additives (FSS) shall have a Health Certificate issued by Competent Authority of the exporting country. The format of the Heath Certificate is attached as Annexure I.
The following products are stated namely:
- Milk and Milk Products
- Pork and Pork Products
- Fish and Fish products
This order shall come into force from November 01, 2022.
