Role: R&D Specifications Management Team Lead
We’re seeking an experienced leader for the role of Specifications Management Team Lead based in Hyderabad Business Services (HBS). As an integral part of our global R&D Spec Management team, this L9 role involves overseeing sub-capabilities managing Ingredient and Non-ingredient specifications. Key responsibilities include acting as a SPOC for R&D Specification management, building strategic relationships with other R&D Team Leads, and driving process improvements for efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a SPOC for R&D Specification management delivery to in-market R&D teams.
- Manage teams delivering R&D Foods Ingredient, Formula, Process, and Finished Goods specification writing activities.
- Build strategic relationships with other R&D Team Leads and Function Leaders.
- Ensure all technical documentation is approved and captured into the appropriate document management system.
- Monitor Specification writing resource count and utilization across HBS.
- Identify areas for process improvements and employee upskilling.
- Support simplification, standardization, and digitization efforts.
- Conduct performance reporting and create required reports for R&D functions.
- Collaborate with counterparts in Mexico Business Services to share best practices.
People Responsibilities:
- Develop team capabilities, continuous motivation, and increased engagement levels.
- Define and monitor performance goals for direct subordinates.
- Provide timely feedback and subject matter expertise when necessary.
- Build meaningful developmental/career paths for subordinates.
- Report on best practices within and across teams to build consistent excellence.
- Enhance internal knowledge and team efficiency through productivity optimization.
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and motivational skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- 12+ years of prior work experience in a similar field.
- Bachelor’s degree required, Engineering, Science, or Business Management preferred.
- Fluent in English – verbal and written.
- Experience working with stakeholders globally.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
