Key responsibilities
- Responsible for in-process quality monitoring during the shift
- Assist in the planning of contract labour for production lines
- Oversee the finishing lines in order to ensure that all schedules are met
- Assist the Production Executive in facilitating work for the Maintenance Department
- Ensure all ISO 9001 and ISO 14000 work procedures are implemented and complied with
- Assist the Production Executive in GMP and HACCP matters
- Actively participate in 5S activities in assigned cell / area
- Ensure Halal / Kosher requirements are met during the production runs
- Act as assistant leader in the fire-fighting team during the shift
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested from time to time
- Directly take charge of production and productivity of finishing section in the plant
- Ensure proper manpower utilisation and arrange backup for day to day operation
- Complete routine checklist and monthly checklist as required by the QMS
- Plan for resources for production in daily basic and follow up on ad-hoc activity require such as rework, blending
- Assist the company in enforcing safety regulations and requirements through the plant
- Lead and enforce GMP and other require QMS in the plant and monitor the efficiency of the QMS system
Qualifications and skills
- Minimum Diploma in Chemical Engineering or other related discipline required
- Minimum of three years working experience in Oleo-chemical / Chemical Process or Food Manufacturing industry
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality System, ISO14001, GMP, HACCP & 5S is an advantage
- Should be able to demonstrate general knowledge of PCs and common software
- High level of proficiency in English – both written and spoken
- Good communicator – should be able to express ideas effectively in individual and group situations, and in written documents
- Confident leader – energizes and inspires others
- Demonstrates an ability to identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives
