Patanjali Yogpeeth, led by yoga guru Ramdev, is set to commence work on its massive Food and Herbal Park and Patanjali Ayurveda Limited in Greater Noida. The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has allocated 300 acres for the food park and 130 acres for the Ayurveda unit across sectors 24, 24A, and 22B along the Yamuna Expressway. The project aims to generate 8,000 direct jobs and create around 80,000 indirect employment opportunities for local youth.
Litigation Halts University Plans
While the food park project is moving forward, the proposed world-class university by Patanjali remains on hold due to legal issues. The 25 acres of land earmarked for the university is under litigation, with farmers refusing to part with their land. YEIDA plans to offer alternative land in a nearby area once the legal matters are resolved.

Food Park Details
The ₹1,600 crore project will involve the processing of 400 tonnes of vegetables daily to produce items like ghee, juice, oil, biscuits, wheat powder, and other food products. Farmers from the region will benefit as Patanjali plans to source raw materials such as milk, vegetables, and flowers directly from them.
Boost for the Local Economy
Located just 4 km from the Buddh International Circuit, the park is expected to boost the local economy by creating employment opportunities and providing farmers with a direct market for their produce.
YEIDA officials confirmed that site formalities and farmer compensations have been completed. With a Yagya and Vedic rituals planned before construction begins, Patanjali aims to transform the area into a major food production hub.
