Applications are invited in the prescribed format (Annexure-1) for the position of RA (01 no.) on purely contractual (01no.) basis to work in the externally funded (DBT, Govt. of India) research project- Title of the Project: “Use of non-toxic nano-formulations for prolonging shelf life and reduction of post-harvest loss of mandarin orange of North East India”. The position is coterminous to the project.

Position – Research Associate (RA) (01 No.)
Essential qualification
Ph D (Food Tech. / Food Science and Technology related areas e.g. Food
Engineering, Dairy Tech, Food Technology & Management, Food Science)/(Chemical Engineering)/(Biotech)/(Post Harvest Technology) Physics/Chemistry along with:
a) Exposure in the area of nano-biotech (including synthesis of nanomaterials,
Nano-emulsions, bioactive Nano formulations and nano-coatings) or coating of fruits for extending their shelf life
b) There must be minimum one research publication (as per ‘a)’ above in support of exposure claim Experience above. However it is desirable to have more publications in the stated area.
Desirable qualification
Work related to shelf life extension of fruits and vegetables, and post-harvest management (at Ph D level or otherwise) is highly desirable and shall carry due weightage for this position.
Age Maximum 40 years (45 years for SC/ST and female applicants)
Fellowship per month Rs. 47000/- + HRA (@8%) – HRA would be deducted if hostel/bachelor
