Mother Dairy has commissioned its first dedicated butter chiplet manufacturing line at its existing milk processing facility in Junagadh, Gujarat, strengthening its capabilities in the butter segment and enabling wider distribution across India.
550 Tonne Annual Production Capacity
The new butter chiplet line has been established at Junagadh Dairy, located in the Gandhigram area of Junagadh district. The facility operates under Mother Dairy Fruit and Vegetable Pvt Ltd.
According to a company official, the newly installed line has an annual manufacturing capacity of 550 tonnes.
First Butter Chiplet Unit
This is Mother Dairy’s first dedicated butter chiplet manufacturing unit in the country. The company plans to use the Junagadh facility to supply butter chiplets to markets across India.
The investment in dedicated infrastructure is part of Mother Dairy’s efforts to expand its presence in the butter segment while strengthening its manufacturing and distribution capabilities.
Pan India Supply Planned
With production based in Junagadh, Mother Dairy will distribute butter chiplets from the facility to markets across the country. The move is expected to support the company’s nationwide supply network for butter products.
The development also adds a specialised production capability to Mother Dairy’s existing dairy processing operations in Gujarat.

Butter chiplets are small, measured portions of butter designed for convenient handling and use. They can be particularly useful across foodservice and other applications where portion control and easy handling are important.
