About the Role:

The Purpose of this position is to manage the routine activities in the Microbiology Laboratory and conduct other activities like Environmental Monitoring in the plant, conduct validation and calibration activities in the Laboratory.
1.    To ensure timely completion of the Microbiology Analysis of all the Raw Materials, Semi-finished Goods and Finished Goods and manage the positive release of the materials post verification of the results.
2.    To ensure the validation and calibration of all the Equipment in the Microbiology Laboratory. Also ensure the clean room validation of the Microbiology Laboratory, Laminar air Flows and the sample Pass Boxes. 
3.    To carry out activities related to Environmental Monitoring under Food Safety Zero Risk and ensure compliance to the EMP Plan.
4.    To support the Food Safety team to conduct the cleaning validation in the production plan and conduct the additional analyses required, if any.

Main Responsibilities:

•    Management of Microbiology analysis of Raw Materials, Semi-finished and Finished Goods. Management of all the routine and non-routine samples referred to Microbiology Laboratory for analysis.
•    Manages the inventory of reagents/microbiological media in laboratory, calibration of the tools, application of accident prevention regulations and all other day-to-day routine operations of the laboratory.
•    Participates actively in all the tasks assigned in direction to comply to ISO 17025/Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and actively participated in the Accreditation process of the Laboratory for NABL.
•    Actively participates in the Proficiency Testing as per the Annual plan of the Proficiency Testing.
•    Supports the Cleaning Validation program and conducts all the analyses as per the protocol.

•    Follows and conducts all the analyses related to Environmental Monitoring Program and delivers the results on timely basis. Establishes a trend analysis of the results.
•    Coordinates effectively with external stakeholders to conduct relevant validations for Microbiology Laboratory, for example, Autoclave Validations, Clean Room Validation, Laminar Air Flow Validation, etc..
•    Effectively writes and implements the Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions, creates Formats, as per the local requirements apart from the Group Quality Documents.

About You:

Education:

  • Post-graduate in Food Science/Microbiology/Dairy Microbiology/Food Technology.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience preferably in FMCG or Food Manufacturing Industry.

1.Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)

2.ISO 17025-Internal Auditor Course

3.Food Safety/HACCP

4.FSSC 22000

5. Basic knowledge of Power BI & AI Tools

6.Knowledge of 5S,Kaizen
