The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (SRIC) is inviting online applications for multiple research positions under an industry-sponsored project in the Department of Agricultural & Food Engineering. 📌 Available Positions:
- Research Associate (RA) – 1 Position
- Senior Research Fellow (SRF) – 1 Position
- Project Technical Assistant – 1 Position
🧪 Project Title:
Improved Technology and Process for Parboiled Rice and Selected Extruded Products
💼 Key Responsibilities:
• Work on advanced food processing technologies
• Assist in product development & extrusion processing
• Conduct research, analysis, and documentation
• Operate and manage processing equipment (role dependent)
💰 Monthly Compensation (Consolidated):
• RA: Up to ₹67,000
• SRF: Up to ₹42,000
• Technical Assistant: Up to ₹35,000
(Based on qualifications & experience)
🎓 Eligibility Criteria:
• RA: PhD / MD / M.Tech or equivalent with research experience and publications
• SRF: Postgraduate degree in Food Science / Food Technology / Food Process Engineering with GATE/NET qualification
• Technical Assistant: Diploma / ITI / Bachelor’s degree OR relevant hands-on experience in fabrication, machining, or equipment handling
⭐ Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of grain science & food processing technologies
• Experience with extrusion machinery & quality analysis
• Basic computer and documentation skills
⏳ Project Duration:
24 Months (or till project completion)
