In a major food safety operation, the Uttar Pradesh Food and Drug Administration (UP FDA) has seized over 1,150 kilograms of adulterated paneer from a pickup vehicle in Greater Noida. Acting on a tip-off, the Food Safety Team conducted a raid and immediately took samples of the paneer for testing.
According to officials, the stock was found to be unsafe and unfit for human consumption. The entire consignment has since been destroyed to prevent it from entering the market. Such large-scale adulteration not only cheats consumers but also poses serious health risks, making strict enforcement crucial.
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has been stepping up its nationwide drive against food adulteration, ensuring that only safe, wholesome, and high-quality food reaches people’s plates. Regular inspections, raids, and testing are part of this ongoing effort to protect public health and curb the growing menace of food fraud.
This incident highlights the importance of consumer awareness and regulatory vigilance in safeguarding food safety. Authorities have reiterated that strict legal action will be taken against those involved in the adulteration trade.
