The CSIR – Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysuru, a premier research institute under CSIR, Govt. of India, has announced recruitment for Project Associate – I (PAT-I) under the project:
👉 “Utilizing integrated approaches for floral bioactive and pigments to enhance value.”
This position offers an excellent chance for young professionals in Food Science & Technology / Food Technology to gain hands-on research experience in food packaging and shelf-life studies while contributing to applied R&D in India’s food sector.
📌 Position Details:
- Post: Project Associate – I (PAT-I)
- No. of Posts: 1
- Age Limit: 35 years (relaxations: 5 years for SC/ST/PwBD/Women, 3 years for OBC)
- Fellowship: ₹25,000 + HRA per month
- Location: CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru
Eligibility Criteria:
Essential Qualification:
- M.Sc. in Food Science & Technology OR
- B.Tech in Food Technology (or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
Desirable Experience:
- Prior exposure to food packaging and shelf-life studies will be an added advantage.
- Training & Research Exposure You’ll Gain
- Hands-on training in food packaging innovations.
- Techniques in shelf-life assessment and quality control.
- Work in state-of-the-art labs at CSIR-CFTRI.
- Contribution to applied research projects with direct industry relevance.
- This role is perfect for those aiming to build careers in food research, product development, packaging technology, and nutrition science.
Selection Process & Terms:
- Shortlisting based on qualification, marks, and experience.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview (no TA/DA provided).
- Engagement is purely temporary, co-terminus with the project.
- Cannot exceed 6 years in CSIR labs collectively.
- This does not guarantee permanent employment at CSIR/CFTRI.
