Nutrihub is a unique and first of its kind organisation to cater start-ups needs in the Nutricereals sector of the country. ABI under ICAR (Indian Council for Agriculture Research)
ICAR-IIMR is one of the first institutes under ICAR to be given the Agri business incubator status. The Agribusiness Incubator (ABI) was established in 2016 at ICAR-IIMR, Hyderabad as a part of Indian Council of Agricultural Research. ICAR’s initiative of establishing 27 Agri business centers under National Agricultural Innovation Fund (NAIF) across the country in various ICAR institutes, which were granted on competitive program mode. This concept promotes the growth through innovation and applications of technology, support, economic development strategies for Small Business development. ABI will play a role to create a successful viable and free standing business within a certain time frame. The broad objective of ABI at IIMR is to promote knowledge based and innovation driven millets based enterprises.
Technology Business Incubator under DST (Department of Science & Technology) Govt of India
NIELAN-TBI has been recognized by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) as Technology Business Incubator in 2017 and has been given support for next five years. Nutrihub equipped with Primary and secondary processing Infrastructure facilities for entrepreneurs incubated along with 60+ value added technologies for millet value added products backed by extensive research and Centre of Excellence.
R-ABI under RKVY-RAFTAAR
Nutrihub-TBI has been selected as one of the R-ABI’s (Agri Business Incubator) by Department of Agriculture & farmer welfare for its Innovation& Agri Business Program under RKVY RAFTAAR
Nutrihub is a focal point where ideas, entrepreneurs, agriprenuers, start-ups, experts, the academic and the funding agencies shall gravitate towards creation of a new knowledge-based economy. ICAR-IIMR through its TBI would like to contribute to the success of the National Innovation system, by providing the right ambience and infrastructure for nurturing innovation, technical skills and entrepreneurial talents of thousands of millets stakeholders.
Nutrihub has the requisite expertise available in-house in the relevant focal areas of Nutri-cereals and also proposes to conduct events ranging from events on cooking with millets, spreading awareness or promotion of millets and value-added products along with technology transfer. Sensitization Workshops, Boot Camps and Company Management Seminars. The incubator is well connected with transport and communication system horizontal dissemination of millets promotion and commercialization across the country.

Eligible and interested candidates are invited for a walk-in-interview to be held at Nutrihub, ICAR – Indian Institute of Millets Research, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, on 16 February 2024 from 10:00 A.M. onwards for recruitment of the following positions under the below mentioned projects as per
the details given below
- Name of the post Research Manager ( 1 post)
- Project MoFPI-PMFME
- Emoluments Rs. 80,000/- (Basic: Rs. 60,000 + Allowances)
- Project till October 2024
Essential qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Food Technology/Food Science & Nutrition/Microbiology/ Plant Bio- Chemistry/ Agribusiness Management/ Food Engineering and allied fields with minimum of 60%marks.
- PhD degree will be an additional qualification.
- 2-3 years research experience in relevant field
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in FMCG/ Food Sector, basic knowledge in cereals processing machinery,
Food Chemistry, postharvest machinery, primary processing machinery, also able to
handle incubation,startups, proven ability to analyze data and documentation skills. - Proficiency in English, and sufficient knowledge in MS-Office and computer usage.
- Willing to travel for field visits to micro processing units from various states
- Prior experience in working with premier institutes such as
NIFTEM/CFTRI/IIT/IIM’s/NIT/Premier SAU’s etc. will be an added advantage.
Terms & Conditions:
- The above posts are purely temporary and on contractual basis.
- The selected candidates shall not claim for regular appointment/absorption in Nutrihub TBISC or funding agency at the end of the project.
- The upper age limit for Business Manager will be 50 years and Office/Personal Assistant will be 40 years as on the date of interview. The relaxation in the upper age limit is five years for SC/ST/women candidates and three years for OBC candidates asper rules.
