Slurrp Farm was born to provide healthy, yummy, and natural food for children.
As parents we were really short of tasty and truly healthy options to feed our children. We soon realized that parents of other young children felt the same lack of options they could trust with their eyes closed. It felt like we HAD to do something to make things better. We also wanted to start a business which could be a force for good.
We decided to follow our heart. We dug into recipes from our Grandmothers kitchens and ingredients like Millets from our childhood. And we decided we had to make them tasty.
What followed was a whirlwind of childhood memories. “My mum used to force a Ragi drink down my throat, I wish we could come up with a yummy way to eat Ragi”. Our first product was a Chocolate Ragi Cookie, made by a childhood friend who is the most incredible baker. It is yummy!
And in just over three years, what started as an experiment in our own home kitchens has now turned into a loved kids food brand; available serving its first 500,000 customers. We sell across several leading online platforms and our products are available in stores in India and the UAE.
And every year along the way, we want to be better than we were the year before, and always innovating to have the best products possible.
WHAT WE DO AND WHO WE ARE
Wholsum Foods is a healthy food brand striving to change the way the world eats. While Slurrp Farm brings the goodness of millets to children, Mille caters to the young adults looking for heathy food options. It’s our mission to provide tasty and 100% natural alternatives to the junk food that surrounds us today. We believe that, in many ways, we need to go back to eating like our grandparents did; to the nutritious traditional food that has existed for millennia in India. Most of our foods are made of millets i.e Ragi, Jowar, Bajra and Foxtail Millet.
The founders of Wholsum Foods, Shauravi Malik and Meghana Narayan, are foodies, entrepreneurs, and parents to young children.
● Will be working under the guidance of R&D Head but will be given independent formulation projects.
●Will be expected to schedule their work and deliver on deadlines.
●Will be responsible for taking projects from start to finish and work under pressure.
● Will be required to source new ingredients.
● Will be required to work on ingredient and product specifications.
– B. Sc. Food Tech/Food Science, M Sc. a plus.
– A minimum of 2 years of work experience in the food industry doing formulation work (do not apply if less than 2 years).
– Experience in baked goods a plus.
– Self-driven, capable of independent work with minimal supervision.
– Team player.
– Capable of handling multiple projects.
