Parag Milk Foods has expanded its Avvatar nutrition portfolio with the launch of Avvatar Popped Chips, marking the brand’s entry into the everyday savoury-snacking segment.
The new snack is positioned as a protein-focused alternative to conventional chips. Each 30-gram pack contains 10 grams of dairy protein, equivalent to around 33% of the product’s pack weight.
Popped Not Fried
Avvatar Popped Chips are made using a popped, non-fried process and are formulated without palm oil, added sugar or artificial preservatives.
The product is initially available in two flavours — Magic Masala and Pudina — with each 30-gram pack priced at ₹60.
The company is targeting urban professionals, fitness-focused consumers and younger customers looking for convenient savoury snacks with higher protein content.
Uses Dairy Whey From Parag’s Operations
The product also builds on Parag Milk Foods’ existing expertise in whey processing.
Production draws on the company’s whey-processing facilities at its Manchar complex in Maharashtra. Parag Milk Foods produces native whey protein from fresh cow’s milk obtained during its cheese manufacturing operations.
With Avvatar Popped Chips, the company is extending the use of dairy whey into a value-added packaged snack category.
Expanding Beyond Traditional Nutrition Products
The launch expands Avvatar’s portfolio beyond products such as whey powders, ready-to-drink beverages and protein bars.
It is also part of Parag Milk Foods’ broader “New Age Business” strategy, which focuses on developing value-added nutrition products alongside its established milk and cheese businesses.
The company is increasingly positioning itself as a broader nutrition-focused food business rather than operating solely within traditional dairy categories.
Multiple Distribution Channels
Avvatar Popped Chips are being introduced through the brand’s direct-to-consumer website, modern-trade supermarkets, selected general-trade outlets and automated vending machines in institutional locations.
The company is also focusing on quick-commerce platforms, particularly across tier-one and tier-two metropolitan markets, where consumers can access the product through rapid-delivery services.
With the launch, Parag Milk Foods is bringing its dairy-protein expertise into the growing packaged-snacking market while expanding the range of everyday products available under the Avvatar brand.
