The Food Safety Department in Indore has busted an illegal dairy unit operating in the city, uncovering a major case of food adulteration. During the raid, officials confiscated approximately 600 liters of spurious ghee, oil, and artificial essence suspected to be used in counterfeit dairy production.
Authorities also seized fake packaging materials mimicking popular and trusted brands, indicating a larger network involved in food fraud. The illegal unit was reportedly manufacturing and distributing these adulterated products to local markets under fake labels.
All confiscated samples have been sent to the state laboratory for testing, and further action will be taken based on the results. Officials stated that the operation was part of an ongoing crackdown to ensure food quality and protect consumers from health risks caused by adulterated products.
The Food Safety Department has urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious food manufacturing or sale activities in their area.
