In a significant crackdown, the Food Safety Department raided an illegal cold drink manufacturing unit operating without a license in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. The raid took place in the Navada locality, where officials seized nearly 8,000 bottles and products worth ₹1.07 lakh.
The warehouse storing these products has been sealed, and samples have been sent to Lucknow for laboratory testing to ensure safety and compliance with health standards.
This operation is part of a nationwide campaign by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) to eliminate unlicensed and potentially harmful food and beverage production units. The department has intensified efforts to safeguard public health by identifying and shutting down such unauthorized factories across the country. Sample results are awaited and further legal action is expected.
