Project Associate II
CSIR – Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysuru has invited applications for Project Associate-II (PAT-II) on a temporary contractual basis for the project “A Foundational AI-Driven Approach for Iron Quantification in Fortified Foods (AI-quantFE)” under project number FBR020402.
Job Details:

- Age Limit: 35 years
- Stipend: ₹28,000 per month + HRA
- Initial Engagement: 6 months, extendable based on project requirements or until completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have either:
M.Sc. in any of the following:
- Food Science and Technology
- Food Science
- Food Technology
- Food Science and Nutrition
- Food Processing Technology
- Biochemistry
- Biotechnology
AND 2 years of relevant experience in industrial/academic institutions, science and technology organisations, or scientific activities and services.
OR
M.Tech. in:
- Food Technology
- Food Processing Technology
- Food Safety and Quality Management
- Biotechnology
Job Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be involved in:
- R&D activities aligned with project objectives
- Conducting experiments
- Data collection
- Data compilation and analysis
- Research report writing
Desirable Experience:
Hands-on experience in experiments related to food grain milling and product development is desirable.
Important Eligibility:
The candidate must have acquired the required qualification and received the result by the application deadline. Candidates whose results are awaited or who are appearing in their final semester are not eligible.
The upper age limit is 35 years as on 4 October 2026. Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/PwBD/Women and 3 years for OBC candidates is specified in the notification.
