Job Description:
Job Summary
The purpose of this role is to own the line or pair of lines, deliver its overall SQDCSM targets, and be fully responsible for people, machinery, and identification and elimination of losses and problems in the area. The role is responsible for building the capabilities of the team and representing the company at the core team in line with Mondelez values and principles.
This role requires an experienced manufacturing leader with strong technical and people management capabilities, who can progress into higher responsibilities such as Section Manager or similar leadership roles.
The Line Lead will be responsible for managing a Chocolate Manufacturing Line, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable operations while driving continuous improvement through Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Integrated Work Systems (IWS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivers overall SQDCSM targets for the lines/units under responsibility; owns 24×7 results of the line(s) and is responsible for budgeting and delivering on the budgets for the line.
- Translates Section Targets into line and unit targets and deploys them to the team following Hoshin.
- Ensure that every team member has individual, specific and measurable targets aligned to the overall line objectives, with a clear understanding of expectations, and documents them through work plans.
- Manages costs against budgets, eliminates losses, plans production and resources, and supports recruitment of new team members.
- Conducts regular PDCA reviews with the team to plan, execute, review and sustain actions required to achieve business targets.
- Runs the DMS cycle for the line/group of lines, owns DMS 3, and sets the 24-hour operational direction for the line team.
- Builds capability and develops the team related to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Integrated Work Systems (IWS) and other operational excellence initiatives.
- Conducts annual performance reviews, creates development plans for team members, and holds regular one-on-one discussions to coach and develop employees.
- Resolves line and organizational issues in a timely manner while demonstrating servant leadership and managing the team in line with Mondelez values and HPWS principles.
- Represents the department in one or more plant pillars and drives related improvement initiatives for the section.
- Ensures continuous progress of the line by leading the implementation and sustainment of TPM practices in collaboration with plant central resources and pillar teams.
- Takes ownership of people systems at the line level, including Recognition & Rewards (R&R), Team Effectiveness and Succession Planning.
- Owns line-level systems related to Health, Safety, Quality and Cost, and may also own department or plant-level systems/processes as require.
- Continuously builds personal mastery in manufacturing operations, people management, TPM and IWS.
- Spends more than 50% of the time on the shop floor, driving operational excellence and supporting the team.

Mandatory Requirements:
- B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Food engeneering or related
- Minimum 7 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
- Experience managing a Chocolate Manufacturing Line is highly preferred.
- Strong experience in Team Management and leading production teams.
- Hands-on experience in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- Integrated Work Systems (IWS) experience is mandatory.
- Strong exposure to production planning, machinery management, loss elimination and continuous improvement.
