Job Description
Position Title: Production Officer
Educational Qualification: Engineer graduate/ Food Technologist/ Msc Food Science / Msc. Chemistry or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical (Packing Officer).
Desired Competencies: Knowledge of Biscuits, Cake, Rusk & Bakery Manufacturing process and Management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy the right manpower at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency and output.
- Verify adherence to standard operating procedures for controlling product weight/gauge, size, colour, and appearance.
- Set and monitor process parameters as per product variety; arrange required materials and preparatory items.
- Collect, record, and analyze production data for TQM; prepare control charts and ensure process control.
- Maximize output by controlling changeover time, manufacturing defects, and production downtime within budgeted levels.
- Continuously track and analyze raw material variances.
- Perform physical verification of CCPs such as Sieve, Metal Detector, and Webs, maintaining documentation as per ISO, HACCP, and FSSC requirements.
- Ensure plant hygiene standards are consistently maintained.
- Conduct recipe verification as per standard parameters for each product variety.
- Ensure proper setting and control of variables such as Ammonia, SMBS, Water, and Oven Profiles to meet all quality standards.
- Ensure usage of raw materials as per manufacturing date and lot traceability.
- Maintain the biscuit grinder room, ensure dust availability, and update traceability records.
- Focus on Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) as per FBC.
- Reduce wastage arising from mechanical breakdowns.
- Ensure all production and support areas are hygienically maintained.
- Participate and support internal and external audits (AIB, ISO, Legal, FSSAI, etc.) and R&R programs.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies, including HR, EHS, QA, and statutory requirements as per BIL/ BCFL Standards.
