In a major crackdown on food adulteration and unsafe food manufacturing practices, the Madhya Pradesh Food Safety Department raided and sealed an unlicensed ice cream factory in Indore that was allegedly operating under extremely unhygienic conditions.
The action was taken against Siddhivinayak Ice Cream Factory following strict directives from Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav to intensify action against food adulteration and protect public health across the state.
According to Indore Collector Shivam Verma, the district administration has launched a continuous enforcement drive against businesses involved in unsafe and illegal food production practices.
During the inspection, officials discovered multiple serious violations, including the absence of a valid food license, poor sanitation standards, and unsafe manufacturing conditions inside the factory premises. Authorities stated that the ice cream products were being prepared in highly unsanitary conditions, raising serious concerns over consumer health and safety.

Officials also suspect possible adulteration practices at the unit. Large quantities of materials found at the site were confiscated, and food samples have been collected for laboratory testing and further investigation.
Following the raid, the factory was immediately sealed and legal proceedings have been initiated. Authorities confirmed that strict action will continue against individuals and businesses violating food safety regulations in Madhya Pradesh.
