The Uttarakhand Food Safety Department has launched a major crackdown on food adulteration in Haridwar. During the operation, officials seized large quantities of fake paneer and other adulterated food products from local markets.
Samples Sent for Testing
All seized items have been sent for laboratory testing to determine the extent of adulteration. Strict action will be taken against violators once the reports are confirmed, authorities said.
Ensuring Consumer Safety
The department emphasized that such raids are part of its ongoing efforts to ensure food quality and consumer safety across the state. Officials have also appealed to the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious food items being sold in their areas.
This action highlights the growing concern over food adulteration in popular cities like Haridwar, where demand for dairy and packaged products remains high.
