JOB DESCRIPTION:
1.To effectively manage and lead the unit R&D team to achieve the target product specifications. Also, firmly implement robust research & development practices to ensure continual improvement for products to exceed customer expectations.
2.Responsible for developing, implementing and launching all projects within a product line that affect production (renovation, innovation or cost/quality projects).
3.Develop formulations and processes while taking into account requirements of other functions such as Regulatory and Quality.
4.Design pilot trials, organize tasting sessions with Marketing, and draw conclusions and recommendations for next steps.
5.Involves hands on bench work, pilot test work and related analytical tests, conducting and coordinating industrial tests in plants, assisting in industrial launches and management of projects
6.Participate in consumer test design, organize sample production and ensure product quality follow up.
7.Realize scale up / industrialization with Engineering and Manufacturing departments.
8.Collaborate and develop the suppliers to obtain best results for product development.
9.Should undertake the shelf life studies of the all the products developed.
10.Participate as an R&D representative for product launch/start up by preparing all specifications related to product line and ensure that all documentation needed is available prior to start up.
11.Propose and implement productivity projects for their product line.
12.Training/development of Research Technologists.
13.Must be able to represent R&D interest within the company during all projects.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY –
- Training & motivating the team for efficient working environment.
- Build & maintain good relations with all stake holders.
- Identify process bottlenecks & implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Ensuring all quality norms related to food safety are followed.
- Coordination with production, Quality, Production & Accounts team.
- Should maintain good time management.
QUALIFICATION: B.Tech.(Food Technology)
EXPERIENCE: 10 Yrs -15 Yrs
DESIRED INDUSTRY: FMCG(Biscuits/Bakery preferable)
