We are looking for an experienced Food Safety Team Leader (FSTL) / Quality Head to lead and strengthen our food safety and quality systems. This is a leadership role for professionals passionate about regulatory compliance, quality excellence, and food safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
🛡️ Regulatory & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006
• Implement Schedule 4 (GMP & GHP) and labeling regulations
• Liaise with FSSAI authorities, auditors, and inspectors
• Manage licenses, approvals, and statutory requirements
⚙️ Food Safety Management System (FSMS)
• Implement and maintain HACCP, ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000
• Lead hazard analysis, CCP identification, and validations
• Maintain SOPs, PRPs, OPRPs, and CCP records
🧪 Quality Assurance & Control
• Define quality standards for raw materials and finished products
• Approve suppliers and ensure inspection compliance
• Review COAs, test reports, and batch release
• Monitor shelf-life and product stability
🧼 Hygiene & GMP/GHP
• Ensure implementation of GMP & GHP practices
• Oversee sanitation, pest control, and water quality
• Maintain hygiene zoning and contamination control
🎓 Training & Development
• Conduct food safety and hygiene training programs
• Ensure staff awareness on SOPs and hazards
• Maintain training records and effectiveness tracking
📊 Audits & Continuous Improvement
• Conduct internal audits and ensure CAPA implementation
• Lead management reviews and improvement initiatives
⚠️ Complaints & Recall Management
• Handle customer complaints and root cause analysis
• Manage product recall and traceability systems
• Ensure full batch traceability
📁 Documentation & Coordination
• Maintain FSMS documentation, SOPs, and audit records
• Coordinate with production, procurement, warehouse, and HR
👥 Leadership & Risk Management
• Lead QA/QC team and define KPIs
• Promote food safety culture
• Handle food safety risks and crisis situations
