Ferrero India has introduced Ferrero Rocher Bars in two variants, taking the premium chocolate brand beyond its traditional praline format and into the growing chocolate bar segment.
Ferrero India is expanding the Ferrero Rocher portfolio with the launch of Ferrero Rocher Bars, a new 90g format designed to bring the brand’s signature chocolate-and-hazelnut experience to a different consumption occasion.
The move marks Ferrero Rocher’s entry into the premium chocolate bar category in India, as consumers increasingly look for indulgent products that combine premium positioning with convenient, individual formats.
Two flavours priced at Rs 499
Ferrero Rocher Bars will be offered in two variants:
- Classic Hazelnut – featuring a smoother chocolate experience with the brand’s characteristic hazelnut and creamy filling combination.
- 70% Cocoa Hazelnut – aimed at consumers who prefer a richer and more pronounced cocoa profile.
Both variants come in a 90g pack priced at an MRP of Rs 499.
The bars retain visual elements associated with Ferrero Rocher, including a textured, embossed surface and the brand’s distinctive gold packaging. The product combines chocolate, creamy filling and crunchy hazelnut elements to create a layered texture.
Targeting premium chocolate consumers
With the new format, Ferrero is looking to extend Ferrero Rocher beyond its established gifting and boxed-chocolate positioning.
The bar format provides opportunities for personal indulgence, sharing and everyday premium consumption, while maintaining the brand’s premium image.
Zoher Kapuswala, Marketing Head, Ferrero India Subcontinent, said the launch builds on the brand’s existing equity in quality, craftsmanship and texture while introducing it in a new format.
Quick commerce to drive the initial rollout
The new Ferrero Rocher Bars will initially be launched through quick-commerce platforms, allowing Ferrero to reach consumers seeking convenient access to premium confectionery.
The company is expected to gradually broaden availability through modern trade outlets and premium stores across major metropolitan markets.
To support the launch, Ferrero is rolling out a campaign titled “Ferrero Rocher is a Bar.” The campaign will include outdoor advertising, digital marketing and creator-led content. Actor Hrithik Roshan is also associated with the planned campaign film.
Ferrero strengthens its India portfolio
Ferrero has been operating commercially in India since 2004 and has established the country as an important manufacturing and supply base for its international business.
Its Indian portfolio includes well-known brands such as Ferrero Rocher, Nutella, Kinder and Tic Tac. The company’s manufacturing facility at Baramati, near Pune, also supports exports to markets across Asia and the Middle East.
The launch of Ferrero Rocher Bars represents another step in Ferrero India’s strategy of expanding established brands into new formats and consumption occasions.
What this means for the chocolate market
Ferrero Rocher’s move into bars adds another premium player to a category where established confectionery companies are competing through new flavours, formats and premium offerings.
At Rs 499 for 90g, Ferrero Rocher Bars are positioned firmly at the premium end of the market, with the brand relying on its existing consumer recognition and distinctive product experience to differentiate the new offering.
