Job Role:
R&D ASSISTANT
Requirements:
(0-1 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE)
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Food Chemistry, Food Science & Nutrition OR B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering/Food Technology.
- Fundamental understanding of flavour science, essential oils & food ingredients.
- Lab experience with viscometers, refractometers, balances, and pH meters
- Familiarity with FSSAI, FEMA, GRAS regulations.
- Exposure to advanced analytical tools like GC-MS, HPLC, and FTIR.
- Basic sensory training or interest in flavour evaluation and application.
- Passion for food innovation and a strong curiosity to explore new flavour possibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and standardize flavour formulations (natural, nature-identical, synthetic).
- Conduct trials on top notes, base blends, and full flavour systems.
- Perform QC on raw materials and finished flavours using RI, SG, PH, and solubility tests.
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, ISO, and internal
- Maintain and calibrate lab equipment for accurate testing & formulation.
- Apply flavours in model food systems (bakery, dairy, beverages,
- confectionery) and conduct sensory evaluations.
- Analyse sensory data and support flavour profiling.
- Assist in stability, heat tolerance, and organoleptic testing.
- Collaborate with chefs and technologists to enhance flavour performance.
