Job Description

IFF is a global leader in food, beverage, health, biosciences and sensorial experiences. We are now seeking a highly motivated and results driven individual to join our Manufacturing facility as Plant Manager.
Your Focus
As Plant Manager, you will manage the overall operations of a manufacturing facility with high food and feed safety standards including production, maintenance, continuous improvement, etc.The role will be responsible for environmental, safety, food and feed quality, security, quality control, local warehousing and shipping. The role is Gurgaon based and will report to Manufacturing Leader, HPC Business Integration.
How You Will Contribute
- Lead the site in promoting our Core Principles and advancing Core Principle performance
- Champion site safety engagement, focus and commitment to zero incidents
- Identify and prioritize risk reduction opportunities, establish clear priorities, and support effective resourcing to drive improvement at the site
- Lead relationships with local authorities including safety, food safety, health regulatory agency, customs, etc.
- Partner with management team to manage the site’s Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, Quality and Food Safety Management Systems (ISO14001; OHSAS 18001, ISO9001, FSSC 22000 & FAMI-QS)
- Lead site management team in identifying Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and aligning action plans with business strategy and anticipating future needs.
- Communicate within IFF to off-site commercial, supply chain, and global operations teams
- Communicate business objectives, priorities and progress across the site.
- Develop, implement and renew a 3-5-year site strategic plan, including a clear site vision, which supports the business and corporate strategy.
- Partner with regional commercial team to define site strategy and support new business initiatives.
Productivity
- Drive plant performance and operational excellence.
- Lead plant prioritization efforts to achieve and maintain proper balance between Manufacturing Excellence and Continuous Improvement.
- Lead the site in advancing quality programs.
- Utilize performance tracking metrics to drive execution.
- Lead site in meeting plant budget as well as developing budget each year.
- Develop and review financial reports and statements to update status in attaining site fixed and variable costs.
- Assess and advance ongoing competitiveness of the facility.
Morale, Talent Management & Capability Building
- Communicate, promote and attain business vision, objectives and strategies.
- Create a culture of employee engagement, trust, and talent development.
- Drive collaboration within the plant and across our global network.
- Develop people at the site (feedback, coaching, mentoring, delegation, difficult conversations, capability building)
- Encourage employee’s engagement and foster empowerment and ownership through leader standard work practices.
- Establish and ensure the effectiveness of two-way communication processes across the site.
- Manage staffing strategy (core/ variable, overtime management and labor planning)
- Utilize talent management processes and systems (succession planning, top talent, individual performance plan)
- Performance management of site employees.
Job Requirements
What you will need to be successful
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or Science.
- Atleast 8 years industrial and professional experience with minimum 5 years of team supervisory experience.
- Operations management experience preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, collaboration and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead cultural change and create winning teams.
- Ability to solve complex problems and develop solutions.
- Previous operations experience with Safety, Food Safety, FAMI-QS, ISO 14001, and Process Safety regulations is highly regarded.
