Assam Agricultural University is the first institution of its kind in the whole of North-Eastern Region of India. The main goal of this institution is to produce globally competitive human resources in farm sector and to carry out research in both conventional and frontier areas for production optimization as well as to disseminate the generated technologies as public good for benefitting the food growers/produces and traders involved in the sector while emphasizing on sustainability, equity and overall food security at household level.
A walk-in interview for the selection of a suitable candidate for the post under the project titled “Bioprospecting of ‘Amshi’ for the Exploration of Commercializing Prospects with Enhanced Quality and Therapeutic Potential”. funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT). Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, will conduct in the Office of the Head, Department of Food and Nutrition. College of Community Science, Assam Agricultural University. Jorhat.
The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. Interested candidates possessing the requisite qualifications may appear for the interview and are required to submit an application on plain paper along with a detailed bio-data and self-attested copies of all relevant certificates and testimonials, as per the date and time specified. Candidates must also bring the original documents for verification at the time of the interview. No TADA will be paid for attending the interview. - Name and position: Project Associate (1 No.)
- Educational Qualification: First Class M. Sc. Degree in Food and Nutrition. Food science and Nutrition. Food Nutrition and Dietetics. Plant Biotechnology/MolecularBiology/ Food Microbiology from recognized University. Preference will be given to candidates having experience in Chemistry/Food Microbiology/MolecularBiology.
- Age limit: 35 Years
- Pay and Allowances: Rs.25.OOO/month for first two years and Rs.28000 for third year + 8% HRA
