💼 Experience: 3–5 Years
🎓 Qualification: B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry, Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field.
We are looking for an experienced and technically proficient Senior Food Analyst to lead our Food Testing Laboratory operations, with a focus on wet chemistry and proximate analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform proximate analysis of food samples, including moisture, ash, protein, fat, and fibre.
- Conduct volumetric and gravimetric analysis, including reagent preparation and standardization.
- Perform method verification, analytical calculations, and quality control activities.
- Independently manage the department, supervise staff, allocate workloads, and monitor sample turnaround time (TAT).
- Plan, coordinate, and evaluate Proficiency Testing (PT) and Inter-Laboratory Comparison (ILC) activities.
- Investigate unsatisfactory PT/ILC results and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Maintain laboratory records, raw data, worksheets, equipment logbooks, and reagent records.
- Ensure equipment maintenance and the availability of chemicals and consumables.
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, BIS, and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements.
- Support internal audits, staff training, quality management, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in a food testing laboratory.
- Experience in an NABL-accredited food testing laboratory will be preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of wet chemistry, proximate analysis, and quality control.
- Excellent documentation, analytical, leadership, and team-management skills.
- Practical experience in PT/ILC evaluation and laboratory quality management.
