Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our dynamic team. The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our food production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and coordinate the production activities, ensuring optimal utilization of resources to meet production targets and timelines.
- Monitor and analyze production performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with relevant food safety regulations, quality standards, and internal policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline production processes, drive efficiency, and minimize waste.
- Manage and optimize the use of machinery and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and troubleshooting when necessary.
- Lead, train, and develop a team of production personnel, fostering a culture of high performance, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience: –
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Production Manager in the food industry, preferably in a peanut butter or similar food manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role, with a track record of successfully managing and optimizing production operations.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality control standards, and production management methodologies.
- Excellent leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and develop a team. – Proficient in analyzing production data, identifying trends, and implementing process improvements.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced production environment.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- BRC certification or other relevant quality certifications would be an advantage.
