Key Responsibilities:
Product Development:
- Lead end-to-end development of nutraceuticals, supplements, and functional food products including teas, tablets, protein powders, etc.
- Design formulations with focus on taste, efficacy, compliance (FSSAI), and shelf-life stability.
- Vendor Coordination & Sampling:
- Source ingredients and work closely with third-party manufacturers.
- Manage product sampling, iterations, and feedback loop.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Handle FSSAI compliance, labeling, nutritional panels, and ingredient approvals.
- Coordinate with legal and quality assurance teams for documentation.
- Innovation & Benchmarking:
- Benchmark competition and identify whitespace opportunities in wellness trends.
- Support launches with data on functional claims, dosage, and consumer benefits.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work with marketing, content, and e-commerce teams to support GTM (Go-To-Market) strategy.
- Liaise with the design team for packaging inputs and USPs.
Requirements:
- B.Tech / M.Tech in Food Technology, Food Processing, or related field.
- Relevant experience in food formulation or nutraceutical development.
- Good understanding of FSSAI regulations and food label compliance.
- Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, and basic documentation.
- Creative, resourceful, and execution-focused.
Good to Have:
- Past experience in startups or D2C brands.
- Exposure to tea blends, plant protein, or Ayurveda-based formulations.
- Understanding of e-commerce operations and marketing integration.
