Mondelez International has officially introduced Biscoff cookies to the Indian market through a strategic partnership with Belgium-based Lotus Bakeries — marking the first time Biscoff will be produced locally outside Europe.
The collaboration, announced on November 14, 2025, strengthens Mondelez’s play in India’s fast-growing premium cookie segment while supporting its “Make in India” manufacturing commitment.
Nitin Saini, VP Marketing at Mondelez India, highlighted the significance of expanding Mondelez’s premium portfolio with a global favourite like Biscoff.
Dirk Van De Put, chairman and CEO of Mondelez International, called the partnership “an exciting step in strengthening our presence in the premium cookie segment,” adding that the company aims to introduce “millions of Indians to the unforgettable Biscoff experience.”
Lotus Bakeries CEO Jan Boone emphasized the brand’s global ambitions: “Our goal is to make Biscoff the world’s number three cookie. India is essential to this vision, and Mondelez’s market expertise gives us great confidence.”
Samir Jain, president of Mondelez India, said the collaboration leverages the company’s distribution strength and deep consumer insights, positioning Biscoff as a preferred choice for Indian consumers.
The cookies will be available in five pack sizes starting at ₹10, across major retail and online platforms. Mondelez is also partnering with cafés, hotels, airlines and quick-service restaurants to integrate Biscoff into beverages and desserts.
Through this partnership, Mondelez expands an already strong brand ecosystem that includes Cadbury and Oreo, further consolidating its leadership across India’s snacking categories.
