Emami Limited is looking for a Food Technologist – R&D to join its Healthcare Division. The selected candidate will assist in the development and formulation of food and nutraceutical products while working closely with the R&D team to support innovation and product improvement. JD FT R&D
🎯 Job Objective:
- Assist in the development and formulation of food and nutraceutical products.
- Coordinate with the R&D team for new product development and improvement of existing formulations.
- Support pilot-scale trials and maintain R&D records, trial reports, COAs, and related documentation.
🔑 Key Responsibilities:
- Formulation development for new products and improvement of existing products.
- Preparation of prototype samples and submission to the marketing department.
- Ensure product development aligns with FSSAI guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain documentation including literature reviews, COA of raw materials, analysis reports, batch formulation details, market sample comparison reports, and stability study reports.
- Conduct long-term and accelerated stability studies for products.
- Maintain instruments related to formulation development.
📋 Functional Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily and monthly reports within timelines.
- Create PPT presentations for completed studies.
- Maintain Laboratory Notebook (LNB) and logbooks for chemicals and instruments.
- Perform tasks assigned by senior management and support special assignments when required.
🤝 Key Interactions:
External: Raw material suppliers, contract manufacturers
Internal: R&D team, marketing/brand teams
🎓 Eligibility:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Food Technology (B.Sc / B.Tech / M.Sc / M.Tech)
- Experience: Fresher or Experienced (0–5 years)
🧠 Required Skills:
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, and Food Processing
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and shelf-life stability conditions
- Knowledge of functional food formats such as gummies, powders, honey, beverages, etc.
