The Uttar Pradesh Food Safety Department recently conducted inspections at several food establishments across Lucknow as part of its ongoing efforts to enforce food safety standards. During the inspections, officials closely examined hygiene conditions, food storage practices, and compliance with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) guidelines.
As a result of the inspection drive, multiple establishments were found lacking in adherence to prescribed safety norms. The department issued improvement notices to several outlets, directing them to take corrective measures within a stipulated timeframe. These notices serve as a warning and an opportunity for businesses to improve their food handling and hygiene practices.
The Food Safety Department emphasized that the initiative aims to ensure that food served to the public meets national safety standards and does not pose any health risks. Officials reiterated their commitment to protecting public health and urged all food business operators to strictly follow FSSAI regulations.
Consumers are also encouraged to stay vigilant and report any unhygienic or unsafe food practices they may come across. The department assured that regular inspections and strict enforcement will continue across the state to uphold food quality and safety.
