Main purpose:
As part of PepsiCo distributed manufacturing agenda Co-man network is growing rapidly and 3 new Co-mans are being introduced within next 6-9 months. Strategic plan for capacity addition also suggests addition of 3-4 new co-man plants each year henceforth. Therefore, robust Q&FS strategic planning and execution becomes imperative to deliver consistent quality of PepsiCo products. The role will work for upcoming new lines at existing plants, new manufacturing sites and new product category introduction. The role will ensure consistent compliance, governance, direction & guidance on QFS systems to ensure consistent delivery of Quality & FS across Co-man
As second part of this role, Distribution quality is covered which covers quality system enforcement across company owned distribution points (CFAs) /customers (distributors). The incumbent of this role plays a key role for both consumer and customer.
satisfaction through working in ‘Move’ and ‘Sell’ dimension of our value chain. This role will also be serving to rapidly growing distribution network of Area countries (Bangladesh & Nepal) and upcoming Srilanka market.
Third part of this role will be supporting BU Q&FS lead in system and capability build across COSO plants. The role will work for upcoming greenfield COSOs to ensure Q&FS requirement implementation through the project phase
The role will also help in ensuring bench plan for Q&FS team. Currently all site QFS managers are at L8 role & BU QFS lead at L11 role hence the gap in career ladder.Responsibilities
Accountability:
- Develop and execute food safety strategies and plans in alignment with the India business unit Strat Plan and in alignment with the PepsiCo Food Safety Policies.
- Ensure food safety requirements are fully understood at manufacturing site.
- Develop capability build plans for COSO and Coman
- Assist in troubleshooting and SME support efforts for products and processes.
- Ensure Pepsico Global Food Safety Standards are in place where needed and is assessed.
- Ensure Q&FS Governance and Controls across Co-man sites
- Assess requirement of resources (people, infrastructure, and process/building designs) for delivering Q&FS goals for manufacturing site and working with stakeholders to build
- Develoving necessary Q&FS capability in plant
- Continually assess this capability in light of new product/process/package innovation initiatives.
- Continually assess and identify systematic issues found in Food Safety audits and ensure improvement actions are developed in a timely manner.
- Ensure FSS regulatory compliances are understood and proactive actions are taken to comply
- Ensure appropriate finished product tests are conducted and results meet the specified requirements for food safety as directed by Support Center and/or government regulations.
- Ensure appropriate information is provided to enable an accurate measurement of food safety for BU within the 3D Quality program.
Qualifications
Key Skills/Experience Required:
- Graduate in Food Technology/ Dairy Technology or Post Graduate in Food Science/Microbiology
- Lead auditor for FSSC 22000 v5.1 and/or ISO 9001:2018 preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in food manufacturing plants/snacks operation with atleast 4-5 year experience as team leader in manufacturing environment
