NIT Rourkela has a diversified academic program with 17 academic departments offering specialized courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels of studies. The Institute currently offers 21 undergraduate programs in the major disciplines of engineering, architecture, science, humanitiesand management, and post graduate programs in diversified fields of research areas. Sponsored research is an important activity of the Institute administered through SRICCE (Sponsored Research, Industrial Consultancy and Continuing Education). SRICCE cell looks after the financial and administrative aspects of sponsored research, industrial consultancy, continuing education and testing & certification jobs.

Activities of SRICCE

Sponsored Research is defined as those time – bound research and development projects which are sponsored by National and International sponsoring agencies.

SRICCE Cell acts as a facilitating center in providing assistance for the faculty members of the institute in communicating with the external sponsors and maintaining the accounts from pre-award to post award stage of the project. Some of the major sponsors of these projects are

Government of India
State Governments of India
Immunocharacterization of cells by Fluorescence microscopy (Laboratory)
International Organizations and Institutions
Autonomous bodies of National and International fame
Private Organizations with international repute

Candidates who fulfill the below mentioned criteria may submit the application form before the last date. Engagement will be purely on temporary / contractual basis and co-terminus with the completion of the project. Candidates are advised to go through the advertisement details carefully before applying.

Project – Design and development of low-cost hurdle system for liquid foods: A non-thermal approach for a model pomegranate juice

Essential Qualifications –

M. Tech. in Food Process Engineering / Post-harvest Engineering / Food Technology and other relevant allied specialization with
minimum CGPA of 6.5/10.0 (or 60% aggregate) at both M.Tech and B.Tech. levels.

Desirable qualifications

Candidates with prior research experience and/or GATE/ NET score in the relevant branch shall be preferred. However, it is not mandatory.

Essential qualification/experience will be as per the norms of the sponsoring agency.
Research work (Experimental & Analytical) on the topic of the project work with a scope to register for Ph.D. at NIT Rourkela as per norms.
