We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join India Food Safety and Compliance team as a Food Safety Manager in our Food Safety team.
IN Food safety program vision is to protect Amazon customers and to gain their trust by ensuring that food products on our market place are safe, statutorily compliant and meet relevant defined quality expectations. We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Food Safety team and lead Food Safety operations to assure regulatory and operational compliance. Key job responsibilities
Your job responsibilities as a Product/Food Safety SME may include:
- Proactively monitor internal and external data sources to identify, investigate and action potentially unsafe products before our customers are harmed;
- Serve as designated specialist within the food Safety area, acting as a point of contact and process expert for other colleagues
- Coordinate and implement all areas of the food Safety Program in collaboration with the Program Team;
- Work with Amazon’s food Safety team to execute strategy, seek automation opportunities and leverage technologies;
- Communicate professionally with internal and external partners (operations, technical and program teams) throughout the Product/food Safety process
- Partner with key stakeholders to define, identify and influence the development of new initiatives within the Product/food Safety Program;
- Create best practices by putting forth improvement ideas;
- Work with Amazon’s internal technology teams to support the development of creative and best-in-class product/food safety business processes that can scale up;
- Leverage data to continuously improve Product/food Safety at Amazon
A day in the life
The Food Safety Manager is crucial to building new programs, improving existing processes, and executing food safety and compliance initiatives. The candidate will work cross-functionally with other Food Safety team members, Food Safety consultants, Legal, Operations and Business stakeholders.

The IN Operations Food Safety & Compliance team provides food safety subject matter expertise for Amazon’s IN food businesses. Our mission is to build and maintain the trust of our customers by assuring the safety and quality of Amazon’s ingestible products. We deliver on this mission with science-based, data-driven programs that we continuously improve for the benefit of our customers
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in business management, Food Science, or related field, and a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in program management , managing and driving the FS Ops independently in south region.
· Knowledge of FSSAI Act and regulations.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and autonomously.
· Experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements and metrics.
· Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team, including adherence to core values and dynamic culture.
· Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and execution.
· Demonstrated experience creating sustainable processes.
· Ability to travel domestically and internationally for business needs
Good Analytical skills
