Walk-In Interview:

The Division of Food Science and Postharvest Technology, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi, invites eligible candidates for a walk-in interview for the position of Project Associate-I under a DBT-funded project titled “Extraction and non-chemical functionalization of pea pod protein for development of clean label smart food additives” on a contractual basis.

Job Details:

• Position: Project Associate-I
• Number of Vacancies: 01
• Interview Date: 16 November 2026
• Reporting Time: 9:30 AM
• Salary / Emoluments:
  • ₹31,000 per month + HRA for candidates selected through CSIR-UGC NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship), GATE, or specified national-level examinations conducted by Central Government departments and their agencies and institutions.
  • ₹25,000 per month + HRA for other eligible candidates.

Essential Qualification:

Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines Food Science, Food Science and Technology, Food Technology, Biochemistry

Desirable Qualification:

• Hands-on experience with laboratory techniques
• Experience in food product development
• Basic computer skills

Age Limit:

• Maximum age: 35 years
• Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST and women candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.

Division of Food Science and Postharvest Technology, NRL Building, 3rd Floor, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi – 110012.

Documents Required:

Candidates must bring the following documents

• Two copies of the duly filled application form in the prescribed format given in Annexure-I and II
• Two recent passport-size photographs
• Self-attested copies of educational certificates and mark sheets
• Experience certificates, if applicable
• Original documents for verification
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer, if employed

Important Terms and Conditions:

1. Candidates must report by 9:30 AM. Candidates reporting after 10:30 AM will not be considered.
2. Only candidates meeting the essential qualifications will be interviewed.
3. The position is purely temporary, contractual, and co-terminus with the project.
4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
5. Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
6. Candidates must declare any near or distant relatives employed by ICAR/IARI as required by the institute.
