Role Overview:
IWFV is hiring a Food Regulatory Affairs Associate with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
The selected candidate will join IWFV and initially work from a client location in Gurgaon for nine months, supporting the client’s regulatory and compliance activities.
The role covers:

- Food Labelling and Claims
- Regulatory Compliance
- Legal Metrology
The associate will also contribute to IWFV regulatory and related projects during the initial assignment, in line with agreed client commitments and confidentiality requirements.
After the initial client assignment, the associate will continue working with IWFV on food regulatory affairs and related projects, including opportunities in quality, food fortification and nutrition.

Key Responsibilities:
1 Food Regulatory Licensing
- Handle and coordinate food regulatory licensing and registration activities.
- Support preparation, submission, and follow-up of regulatory applications.
- Review documentation required for food licenses and regulatory approvals.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and regulatory authorities wherever required.
- Track license validity, renewals, amendments, modifications, and related compliance requirements.
- Maintain proper records and documentation of regulatory submissions.
2 Food Labelling and Claims
- Review food product labels for compliance with applicable food regulations.
- Check ingredient declarations, nutritional information, allergen declarations, claims, declarations, and other mandatory label requirements.
- Identify regulatory gaps and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Support review and approval of new or revised product labels.
- Stay updated with changes in food labelling regulations and communicate relevant changes to stakeholders.
3 Legal Metrology Affairs
- Support compliance related to Legal Metrology requirements applicable to packaged food products.
- Review declarations and packaging information for Legal Metrology compliance.
- Coordinate documentation and compliance requirements related to packaged commodities.
- Monitor relevant regulatory updates and assess their impact on products and packaging.
4 Regulatory Compliance and Advisory
- Conduct regulatory reviews and provide inputs on food regulatory requirements.
- Interpret applicable regulations, notifications, guidelines, and standards.
- Support regulatory gap assessments and compliance audits.
- Prepare regulatory notes, trackers, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Quality, R&D, Packaging, Marketing, Procurement, and Operations.
5 Regulatory Research and Updates
- Monitor updates from relevant regulatory authorities and government bodies.
- Research applicable food laws, standards, notifications, circulars, and amendments.
- Assess the potential impact of regulatory changes on products and business operations.
6 IWFV Projects and Knowledge Work
Contribute to IWFV assignments in:
- Regulatory Affairs
- Quality
- Food Fortification
- Nutrition
This may include research, documentation, and project coordination, as scheduled around client commitments.
7 Client and Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with the client team on day-to-day regulatory matters during the initial assignment and with IWFV teams on other projects.
- Understand client requirements and provide timely regulatory support.
- Participate in meetings and discussions related to regulatory compliance.
- Maintain professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualification:
Minimum Qualification:
- B.Tech and/or M.Tech in Food Technology, Food Regulatory Affairs, Food Science and Technology, or a relevant specialization.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in Food Regulatory Affairs.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
- Strong understanding of Indian food regulatory requirements.
- Practical knowledge of food licensing and regulatory documentation.
- Good understanding of food labelling and claims.
- Knowledge of Legal Metrology requirements for packaged food products.
- Ability to interpret regulations, notifications, standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and work in a client-facing environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Employment and Assignment:
Employer: IndoWorldFood Ventures LLP
Initial Client Assignment: Nine months at a client location in Gurgaon.
Work Location: Primarily at the client location in Gurgaon during the initial assignment. Location and work arrangements thereafter will follow IWFV project requirements.
IWFV Work During Assignment: The associate will contribute to IWFV projects alongside client work, subject to agreed schedules, client commitments, and confidentiality requirements.
After the Client Assignment: The associate will continue with IWFV’s regulatory affairs and related projects.
