Production Executive (Fruits & Vegetables Processing)
📍Location: Talegaon Dabhade MIDC, Pune
Key responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and oversee daily production activities in accordance with demand forecasts and customer requirements.
- Monitor production capacity and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines and maximize efficiency.
- Monitor and ensure that all production processes adhere to established standards, ensuring high quality and minimal waste.
- Troubleshoot production line issues, ensuring timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure that all processed fruits and vegetables meet industry standards and customer specifications.
- Conduct regular quality checks on raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance systems in line with food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, ISO, GMP).
- Supervise, motivate, and manage production staff, ensuring high levels of performance and teamwork.
- Provide training to new employees and ongoing training for current staff on safety protocols, equipment usage, and process improvements.
- Conduct performance reviews and support professional development for team members.
- Oversee raw material inventory to ensure that the necessary ingredients, packaging materials, and other resources are available for uninterrupted production.
- Work closely with the purchasing department to forecast raw material needs and minimize production delays due to shortages.
- Help manage waste control by monitoring materials usage and implementing practices to reduce excess.
- Enforce strict adherence to workplace safety standards, ensuring that employees work in a safe environment.
- Conduct regular checks on production equipment to ensure optimal performance and coordinate maintenance schedules.
- Handle and report any workplace accidents or equipment malfunctions according to company procedures.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production reports, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, downtime, waste, and throughput.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including batch logs and quality checks.
- Assist in audits and inspections by regulatory authorities and customers.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications in food safety and quality control (e.g., HACCP, ISO certifications) are advantageous.
- 1-3 years of experience in a production role within the food processing industry, preferably in F&V processing.
- Familiarity with processing techniques for fruits and vegetables, such as sorting, grading, drying, or packaging.
- Proficiency in using production software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
