The School of Bio-Sciences and Technology (SBST), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is inviting applications for two exciting positions under an ICMR-funded Centre for Advanced Research project titled: “Generation of Bacteriophages for Combating Bacterial Infections of the Skin and Musculoskeletal System.”
Open Positions:
Project Research Scientist II (Non-Medical)
- Qualification: First Class PG / Integrated PG with 3 years’ experience or Ph.D. (Life Sciences / Biological Sciences / Biotechnology / Engineering & Technology)
- Desirable: Experience in microbiology, susceptibility testing, and genome-based bioinformatics analysis.
- Stipend: ₹67,000 + 10% HRA/month

Project Technical Support III
- Qualification: Graduate + 3 years’ experience or PG in Life Sciences / Biological Sciences / Biotechnology / Engineering & Technology
- Desirable: Skills in phage characterization, TEM/SEM morphological analysis, and whole genome analysis.
- Stipend: ₹28,000 + 10% HRA/month
