Job Title: Assistant Manager – Production (Confectionery)

Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan
Reports To: Production Manager / Plant Head
✅ Job Purpose
To oversee and manage the production activities of the confectionery manufacturing unit in Jaipur, ensuring efficient production, high product quality, safety compliance, and timely achievement of production targets.
✅ Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Execution
Implement daily and weekly production schedules as per business requirements.
Monitor production progress and ensure that production targets are achieved without delay.
Optimize machine utilization and manpower allocation for maximum efficiency.
2. Quality Management
Ensure that all confectionery products meet defined quality parameters and food safety standards.
Collaborate closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure compliance with FSSAI / HACCP standards.
Identify defects or deviations and implement corrective actions.
3. Team Management
Supervise, train, and motivate production staff to ensure high productivity and adherence to SOPs.
Conduct shift briefings, monitor employee performance, and maintain discipline.
Ensure optimal manpower deployment per production needs.
4. Process Optimization
Analyze production processes and suggest improvements to reduce wastage and enhance efficiency.
Implement Lean Manufacturing practices and automation where possible.
Minimize downtime through proactive monitoring and preventive action.
5. Inventory & Resource Management
Manage raw material consumption and ensure availability for uninterrupted production.
Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
6. Machine Maintenance Coordination
Work with the maintenance team to schedule preventive maintenance and handle breakdowns promptly.
Ensure production equipment is in good working condition and operated safely.
7. Safety & Hygiene Compliance
Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, food safety regulations (FSSAI/HACCP), and hygiene standards.
Conduct regular safety audits and provide on-the-job safety training to production staff.
8. Reporting & Documentation
Maintain accurate production records including shift-wise output, yield reports, downtime reports, etc.
Report production status, challenges, and performance metrics to Production Manager or Plant Head.
✅ Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Dairy Technology, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in confectionery or food production industry.
Strong knowledge of confectionery production processes (e.g., chocolates, toffees, gummies, hard candies).
Hands-on experience with automated production lines is preferred.
Good understanding of FSSAI / HACCP food safety standards.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience in production planning, quality control, and team management.
✅ Preferred Competencies
Knowledge of ERP software for production management.
Experience in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
Strong analytical ability to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.
