The Uttar Pradesh Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) has recently intensified its crackdown on adulterated and unhygienic dairy products across multiple cities. This operation has led to the seizure and destruction of significant quantities of contaminated paneer, khoya, and raw materials.
Key Actions by FSDA:
- Kanpur: Authorities destroyed 380 kg of paneer found to be adulterated.
- Mathura: A total of 1,100 kg of paneer and 4,200 liters of raw materials were seized and destroyed due to contamination.
- Mughalsarai: Officials destroyed 2,000 kg of khoya after it was deemed unfit for consumption.
- Ghaziabad: 865 kg of contaminated paneer was seized, & Samples were collected for testing.
- Gorakhpur eliminated 2,500 kg fake paneer & 800 L contaminated milk
- Chandauli and Moradabad: Samples were taken from dairy units to assess quality and safety standards.
These actions are part of a broader initiative by the FSDA to ensure food safety and protect public health. The agency continues to monitor and inspect food processing units across the state to curb the distribution of adulterated products.
