i) M.Tech./ M.Sc./ Ph.D degree (4 yrs of UG + 2 yrs of PG) in Food Process Engineering/Food Technology/Food Process Technology/Food Safety & Quality Assurance/Processing of Food Engineering / Agricultural Processing/ Food Science/ Food Science and Technology/ Food Science and Nutrition/ Food and Nutrition/ Chemical Engineering/ Biotechnology/ Food Technology and Management/ Food Process Engineering and Management/ Food Plant Operations and Management/ Food Safety and Quality Management / Food Supply Chain Management/ Post-Harvest Technology/Fish Processing Engineering/Dairy Technology/Dairy Engineering
(OR)
ii) M.Sc. degree (3 years of UG + 2 years of PG) in the above disciplines with 2 years of experience with NET qualification (or) Ph.D. in the above disciplines.

Job Description
- Assist in the day-to-day academic and administrative activities of the Office of the Dean (Academics).
- Maintain and update academic records, student records, registers, and databases.
- Coordinate with Departments, faculty, students, and administrative sections on academic matters.
- Assist in matters related to student registration, course enrolment, attendance, academic progress, and curriculum.
- Provide support for Board of Studies, Senate, academic committees, accreditation, ranking, and institutional reporting.
- Perform any other academic/administrative duties assigned by the Dean (Academics)/Institute from time to time.
2. Food Analyst

Essential Educational Qualification
Master’s/Doctorate degree in Chemistry/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/Dairy Chemistry, Agricultural Science/ Animal Science/Fisheries Science/Biotechnology/Food Safety/ Food Technology/Food Science and Technology/ Food Process Engineering/ Food and Nutrition/Dairy Technology/Oil Technology/Veterinary Sciences from a University established in India by law; or Associate of the Institution of Chemists (India) by examination in the Section of Food Analysts conducted by the Institution of Chemists (India).
Essential Experience
The candidate should possess not less than three years of experience in food analysis in any institution/research institution/research laboratory after acquiring the prescribed minimum educational qualification and should have qualified the Food Analyst Examination (FAE) conducted by FSSAI.
General Instructions:
- Age Limit
- Senior Research Fellow: 35 years for men and 40 years for women as on the last date of filling application.
- Food Analyst: 45 years as on the last date of filling application.
- Application Fee Rs. 50/- (SC/ST/PwD/Women Candidates are exempted from payment of fees).
- Tenure of Senior Research Fellow (Food Analyst Tenure will be initially for a period of six months and renewal of tenure will be done every six months based on the performance.
- The applicant must ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility conditions in accordance with the prescribed qualification, experience etc., before applying for the specific post.
- The candidates must apply only through online application form available in the Institute website www.niftem-t.ac.in. No offline application sent directly to the Institute will be entertained.
- The candidate must upload soft copies (PDF form) of all certificates and relevant documents in support of their claim in the online application form wherever necessary. In respect of publications, the first page of publications must be uploaded, failing which such publications will not be considered.
- After successful submission of online application, the candidates are instructed to sign the hardcopy of downloaded application. The signed application form, self-attested copies of supporting documents and copy of e-receipt generated in SBI collector to be scanned as a single PDF file. The scanned PDF file has to be sent to the mail id: projectrecruitment@tifpt.edu.in within THREE days from the last date of online submission.
- The Institute reserves the right to Revise / Reschedule / Cancel / Suspend / withdraw the recruitment process without assigning any reason. The decision of the Institute shall be final and no appeal in this regard shall be entertained. The Institute reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post(s) at any time without giving any reason.
- Selection process: Eligible shortlisted candidates will be called for written examination followed by interview.
- The interview will be conducted in person only at NIFTEM – Thanjavur main campus.
- The shortlisted candidates will also be informed through e-mail about the date & time of interview.
- All communications with the candidate shall be through email. If required, NIFTEM-Thanjavur may seek additional / other documents after this date also.
