We are looking Food safety Officer candidate for Parle Biscuits Pvt Ltd (Confectionery Unit Neemrana)
Job Title: Food Safety Officer (FSSC 22000 Focus)
The Food Safety Officer is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) in accordance with the FSSC 22000 standard. This role ensures that all manufacturing processes meet both regulatory requirements and international safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- FSMS Maintenance: Oversee the daily operation of the FSSC 22000 system, including ISO 22000 elements and sector-specific Pre-Requisite Programs (PRPs).
- HACCP Management: Lead or support the Food Safety Team in maintaining the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) plan. This includes identifying physical, chemical, biological, and allergen hazards.
- Internal Auditing: Conduct regular internal audits and gap analyses to ensure compliance. Coordinate and lead the facility through annual third-party certification .
- Training & Culture: Design and deliver food safety training for plant personnel, focusing on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), hygiene, and food defense.
- Corrective Actions (CAPA): Investigate non-conformities, root causes, and implement corrective actions for any deviations in the production process.
- Traceability & Recall: Coordinate mock recalls and ensure the traceability system can track products from “farm to fork” within the required timeframe.
PQMS Coordinator:
- Responsible for implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of Parle Quality Management System (PQMS) as per corporate guidelines.
- Coordinates and monitors internal management systems to ensure compliance with PQMS requirements across all departments.
- Facilitates internal audits, tracks non-conformities, and ensures timely corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Acts as a single point of contact between plant functional heads for PQMS-related communication, documentation, and reporting.
- Ensures effective document control, training awareness, and adherence to standard operating procedures under PQMS.
Technical Requirements & Skills:
Requirement Description
- Education Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology or a related field.
- Certification Formal training in FSSC 22000 V6 (or current version) and HACCP certification.
- Experience 2–5 years of QA/QC experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge Deep understanding of ISO 22000, ISO/TS 22002-1, and local regulatory laws.
- Soft Skills High attention to detail, strong technical writing for SOPs, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
